Lotus Project

I've been working on an experiment to grow Nelumbo nucifera ie. The Sacred Lotus. In my research into aquatic plants for the pond, I have found that it is inarguably the most beautiful flower I've ever seen, but on top of that, the plant itself is extraordinarily interesting. Revered by both Hindus and Buddhists, it has been used in many Eastern cultures for medicinal purposes and as a food source. I was surprised to find out that it is actually hardy up to USDA zone 4. You would think it a tropical plant, but it will actually survive a Canadian winter, provided that it is planted at least 2 feet below the surface of a pond. Anyways, I will be documenting the progress of my growing experiment here, so stay tuned....

Pay-Per-Post At Last

I’ve finally did it! I finally signed up for PAY-PER-POST! It’s probably the top “pay per post” blog advertising company out there, that I’ve seen anyway. I’ve been doing the pay per post thing for some time now, but with Blogitive. Unfortunately, the available opportunities do not seem to come up as often as I would like. Aside from the more frequent availability of opportunities, the pay-off for the Pay-Per-Post opportunities can also be considerably higher. I haven’t read all the ins and outs of Pay-Per-Post yet, but from what I’ve seen its looking pretty good so far.

I know I haven’t been spending a lot of time on my blog lately, what with all my studying for exams and all the stuff I have to deal with in the off-line world, but what better motivation is there to blog, than getting paid to do it?! I mean I’ve been doing this for some time now for free. It’s definitely not going to hurt if I can get a couple of bucks from it here and there. I’m definitely going to be in the blogosphere a lot more frequently than I have in the past few months. I’ve really missed visiting everybody. I know most of you have already joined Pay-Per-Post. I think the first blogger friend I saw who joined it was Sasha, then Ghee, then everybody else! I guess it’s kind of like the meme phenomenon. First it was the Photohunt, then WW, then T13, Cats on Tuesday, Friday’s Feast, etc., etc.,… now I think I’ll be visiting everybody just to see their Pay-Per-Post posts!

Well, I hope to make lots and lots of money now…. Nah, just kidding, I’m thinking this might be kinda fun. If anybody out there still hasn’t joined Pay-Per-Post, you should consider it….
