Beach Cruiser Bicycles

Well summer is coming to a close here in New York City. It wasn't much of a summer with all those cool days, and all those rainy days. So whenever the sun was out I'm sure everybody took advantage of it. Taking a trip down to Jones Beach was pretty cool. Just lying around on the sand and soaking up the rays, or playing beach volleyball, it's too bad we can't all live on the beach. I came across a website which sells beach cruiser bicycles, and I recalled seeing a bunch of people on the beach boardwalk riding bicycles. Walk About

So almost every night, when I have a couple of hours to spare, which is about almost every night, I go on a Manhattan walk about. Basically, I just walk up and down the island of Manhattan until I'm exhausted. The furthest walk I did took me down 115 blocks. I try to take different avenues, just to see what's interesting. Seeing and experiencing New York is best done on foot.

HIMYM S5 E1

Awe.... wait for it.... some... I really love that show, and the long anticipated season premiere was pretty good. Waiting for another episode tonight, but since I'm working and probably won't be coming home till after midnight, I'll have to wait to watch it online. Which brings me to another little bit of awesomeness.... online TV. What did we ever do without it.... oh yeah we would time the vcr.... lame.

HIMYM

My friends have tuned me into How I Met Your Mother, and I didn't know what I had been missing. It is hilarious, and I totally see myself in Ted Mosby in how neurotic he is. I did a How I Met Your Mother marathon over the weekend, so I could be caught up for the season premiere of season 5 this past Monday. So that was four seasons at about twenty two episodes per season at about twenty one minutes per episode.... so if you do the math, that's 1848 minutes, or about 30 hours, or a little over a whole day of watching t.v. on my laptop. It was worth it. Awesome! That show is Legen.... wait for it....

What heck did we ever do without wireless internet connections? Since I finally went ahead and bought myself a new laptop with wireless LAN, I find myself searching for all the free Wii-fii hot spots in the city. My favorite place of course is the Steven Schwarzman building. I can get a lot of work done in the main reading room, and best of all there's free wii-fii, which means I can blog to you from right here in the main reading room of the Schwarzman building NYPL. Holy crap, I'm at it again. Trying to write these stupid personal statement essays. I just finished one after months of writing and re-writing, then getting friends to critique, then re-writing it again. I had a mentor of mine read it too, and had to completely re-write it again! Okay, maybe 15% remained the same, but I had to move things around, you know for fung shui purposes. Finally though after a bus ride to Atlantic City, I had the inspiration for the intro! My friends loved it, and so did my mentor. But now, I have 2 more to write and I can't even get started. Crap, wish me luck.

Siezure

A feeling of heat, tingling, and terror struck, and then there was nothing. Later, shapes, colors, and movement emerged but there was no sound. Then meaningless noise began to pierce through, with a human voice holding no more significance than a car horn. After another minute, sounds began to coalesce, voices and words could be sorted out but their meaning remained just out of reach.
